CRAIL's mission is to contribute to the responsible development of AI, and its use for strengthening civil society and empowering marginalized groups. We systematically investigate the risks and social impact of AI, critically examine current approaches to R&D in the field, and develop new algorithms towards socially just and human-compatible intelligent technologies.
